These terms cover your use of consciouswebdesign.com and the services of Conscious Web Design, LLC, Bend, Oregon, USA ("I", "me"). By using the site or buying a service, you agree to them. If you're using a service for a business, you're agreeing on behalf of that business.

You're welcome to browse and share links to this site. Please don't misuse it: no attempts to break in, overload it, scrape it in bulk, or use it for anything unlawful.
The design, text, graphics and code of this site belong to Conscious Web Design, LLC. Project screenshots show work for clients and remain theirs. Links to other websites are provided for convenience; I'm not responsible for their content.

Websites, apps and AI tools
Each project starts with a written quote or agreement that sets out the scope, price, payment schedule and timeline. That document is what governs the project. Work that falls outside the agreed scope is quoted and agreed with you before I do it.
You're responsible for the content you give me (text, images, logins, data) and for having the right to use it. I'll keep your logins and data confidential and use them only for your project.
Ownership and licensing of what I build, and any ongoing hosting or care, are set out in your project agreement.
AI phone receptionist
Plans. You pay a monthly plan that includes a set number of minutes. Plans renew each month, and Stripe emails your receipt.
Minutes. Each call is rounded up to the next minute. Calls under 10 seconds are free. Minutes beyond your plan are added to your next monthly invoice: 30¢ a minute, or 50¢ a minute on the Starter plan.
Setup. A one-time setup fee of $149 is charged with your first payment. Larger setups and integrations are quoted before any work begins.
Add-ons. Connections to your systems (such as order lookup, Shopify, booking calendars or a CRM) are a one-time build quoted by me, then $49 a month each. Ticking an add-on at checkout records your interest; nothing is charged for it until we've agreed it.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time by emailing me. Your plan stays active until the end of the month you've paid for and won't renew after that. Setup fees and months already paid aren't refunded.
How it behaves. Every call starts with the receptionist saying it's an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded. It answers incoming calls only, and never gives medical, legal or financial advice.
Your part. You're responsible for the information you give the receptionist about your business, for using it lawfully, and for any notices your industry or location requires. AI can make mistakes: please check important details (like orders or bookings) before acting on them.
Payments
Payments are taken securely by Stripe. Prices are in US dollars and don't include any taxes that may apply. If a payment fails, I'll let you know; services may be paused until it's sorted out.
About AI
Many of my services use artificial intelligence. AI is powerful but not perfect: its answers can be incomplete or wrong. I design every tool to be honest about being AI and to hand off to a person when it matters, but you remain responsible for the decisions you make with it.
Disclaimers and liability
The website is provided "as is". I work hard to keep everything accurate and running, but I can't promise it will always be error-free or available.
To the extent the law allows, I'm not liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost profits or lost data), and my total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid me for the service in question during the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Oregon, USA. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Deschutes County, Oregon, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere. If you're a consumer, you keep any rights your local law gives you.
Changes
I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. Changes don't affect work or payments already agreed.
